Nolan helps brother get ‘Superman’ movie

London, July 26 – Hollywood director Christopher Nolan has landed his brother a dream job in Hollywood as the latter is going to direct the upcoming ‘Superman’ movie.

Nolan has signed on to produce the much-anticipated superhero film and contactmusic.com reports he has asked his brother Jonathan to take over directing the film so he can concentrate on the next Batman movie.

The less famous Nolan brother is already working closely with his sibling as Jonathan is among the writers on ‘Batman 3′.

‘Jonathan Nolan is not onboard yet, but it looks like he will get the job. He wants to direct, Chris wants to land him that gig… That said, it is far from a done deal,’ said a source.

Stallone's Security Scares On Expendables

Sylvester Stallone stepped up security while shooting The Expendables in Brazil - because gang activity was rife in the area where the blockbuster was filmed.

The action man, who stars in and directs the film, admits he was terrified of local thugs invading the set, so he recruited a fleet of burly bodyguards to protect his cast and crew.

He explains, "Around the set there were carjackings and robberies. Half of our local grew members had skulls on their shirts - it was hardcore.
"We came along to blow their country up, we barbecued an entire village for this film and protection was needed. We had 70 bodyguards - that's right, seven-oh."

Cole 'wants to fight malaria outbreak'

Cheryl Cole is planning on raising money to stem the spread of malaria in Africa following her brush with the disease.

The X Factor judge was reportedly hours from death after contracting the tropical illness during a trip to Tanzania in June, and now intends to help other sufferers on the continent once she has made a full recovery.

A friend of Cole's told Music News: "Cheryl wants to raise money for mosquito nets and better medicines across the worst-affected regions of Africa.

"After hitting such a terrible physical low, she has come to realise just how awful the disease is and how lucky she has been to receive the best medical care."

Cole is currently recuperating at home after being discharged from hospital just over a week ago. It was revealed today that she refused a recent request from estranged husband Ashley to visit her while she makes her recovery.

Mad Men Moss Exposes Fake Facebook Page

Mad Men star Elizabeth Moss has urged fans to stop posting messages on her Facebook page - because it's run by an impostor.

The actress, who plays prim and proper Peggy Olson on the hit show, insists she isn't on the social networking site and was shocked to find someone was pretending to be her.

She says, "I don't mind Facebook... but there is an Elizabeth Moss page. I don't have anything against the person doing it; I guess it's a fan... except that I think people write and they think that they're writing to me and then I don't write back, and then I feel bad because then they think I'm rude."

"She's (impostor) very into saving the rainforests... I think saving the rainforests is a great idea. I'm not against it... It's not personally my cause, but I'm glad that people think I'm so philanthropic."

Violent Incident Interrupts Comic-Con's Big Day

Disturbing news out of Comic-Con, where Universal's scheduled afternoon panel was briefly delayed following a stabbing in the convention center's packed Hall H, leaving one man hospitalized and another in police custody.

As thousands of fans waited for Universal's presentation of Cowboys & Aliens, featuring director Jon Favreau and star Harrison Ford, an audible scuffle broke out in the crowded hall, causing confusion among audience members. A Comic-Con representative asked attendees to disperse as Con security moved in.

Sources from Universal tell E! News that there was a seating scuffle and one attendee stabbed another in the face with a pen.

Uniformed officers escorted a male attendee out in plastic restraints (the alleged assailant had blood stains on his shirt, one of the free Harry Potter Comic-Con T-shirts given out earlier today), while medics wheeled out another patron on a stretcher. The latter was taken to the hospital with what San Diego police described as a "minor cut near the eyelid."

The attacker was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The identities of the men are not being immediately released.

The Universal panel was delayed for nearly 20 minutes, pushing back the day's most anticipated session—Marvel's movie presentation with footage from Thor and Captain America and an introduction of the full cast of The Avengers. Stay tuned for more details on that session.

Bynes 'Unretires'

Actress Amanda Bynes has reversed her decision to quit the film business because she thinks she is too young to retire.

The Hairspray star recently announced her plans to quit acting in a Twitter.com post, revealing she no longer enjoyed it.

Bynes wrote, "Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it."

But she appears to have had a change of heart over the weekend, telling her Twitter.com followers, "I've unretired."
